Patsy Biscoe, Fat Cat and Pots the Clown were present to mark the occasion as were many Alice Springs locals; keen to experience this modern way of shopping in air-conditioned comfort hitherto unknown in Central Australia. Yeperenye is proud to be a successful Aboriginal owned business positively contributing to the economic, cultural and social well-being of Central Australia. The Yeperenye Shopping Centre is a flagship Aboriginal enterprise and its success lies with strong and stable leadership over many years from a wealth of Aboriginal directors drawn from the local community, together with specialist directors with legal, accounting and retail property expertise.
