About us
A Museum Where the Visitor does not Merely Observe, but can Touch, Turn on, and use the Machines.
Something about the museum
The Computer Museum is currently the largest museum in Europe. It is a real museum, open by appointment, a museum where visitors can not only observe, but also touch, turn on, and use nearly all the machines. Its catalog includes over 13,000 cataloged devices, representing approximately 30,000 machines, from over 8,000 different models; over 5,000 volumes of manuals and texts; over 10,000 issues of over 100 different magazines; hundreds of different software programs; thousands of photos, manuals, and technical data sheets, available online on our website; a collection effort spanning over 30 years; and over 50,000 km traveled each year, in Italy and Europe, to save machines of historical importance.
We are reorganizing after a relocation that required enormous resources and time, and will soon be fully operational again.
To get started
On the left, you'll find a menu to access the main sections of the site's content, while on the right, you'll find several tools. The "Catalog" section gives you access to the museum's extensive archive, where you'll find all the museum's pieces, organized by brand. The "Events" section takes you to a list of all upcoming and past events, each of which often features a reportage with photos and stories.
