The Masia Can Toy - located in the privileged natural environment of the "Serralada de Marina" forest park between the towns of Badalona, Montcada i Reixac and Sta Coloma de Gramanet - was built in 1870 by the Anglo-Saxon businessman Mister Toy, owner of the Vallensana Quarry located a few meters away. It housed the migrant workers and their families who worked for him in the extraction of the stone.
After many utilities - including a summer camp - it was abandoned in ruins until 1987 when it was acquired by the Leiva family who, after two years of reconstruction, opened the restaurant "El Mirador de Can Toy", which is currently run by the second generation.
