The MARTINIS Restaurant has been tied, since 1888, to the history of Patisia. The building where it is currently housed, at the junction of Patisia and Iakovata streets, «partition» with the historic church of Agios Loukas, was built in 1888 by the Skotidas family. Around 1908, it functions as the Skotida Garden Cafe in a then purely country area and for many years it has been the center of gravity of Political life. Around 1969, there, next to the cinema «Select», the Martinis Brothers Steakhouse was created. Eight years later, the Martini Brothers lease from its owners the property of the «Skotida» Cafe and turn it into a restaurant.
