About us
Where cooking is still a passion, hospitality an asset, innovation and inspiration a gift.
Since June 2011, the interior of Kommilfoo has undergone a complete metamorphosis. Following the evolution in our kitchen, we aimed to create more unity between dishes and surroundings. Hostess Inger Blancquaert and interior architect Martine Geusens succeeded in giving the restaurant a contemporary, warm Zen feel.
Three accents serve as the guiding principle: wood, comfort, and warmth. Thus, use is made of beautiful oak floors, custom lighting, very comfortable armchairs upholstered in saddle leather, beautiful white linen from De Witte Lietaer, and wallpaper from Arte International, among other things.

Olivier grew up in the South of Antwerp and was not originally destined to open a restaurant. He studied economics and obtained an MBA from the European University in Antwerp.
To pay for his studies, he often worked in restaurants, and that is how his love for cooking grew. He came into contact with top chef Eddie Van Maele and took courses with him for five years. Afterwards, he did internships at various top restaurants abroad (especially in Spain) to learn modern cooking techniques.
the team
Since 1998, Inger Blancquaert has led the motivated team. Inger welcomes you as hostess and helps you choose from our various menus or à la carte dishes. Bart Bronsgeest assists her in selecting the matching wines, making your culinary evening a complete experience.

The eye-catcher in the room is the artwork by Schotenaar Thierry Lejeune.
Our table decoration was designed by Pieter Stokmans in combination with the colors of the restaurant. This creates a soothing harmony that transforms your dinner or lunch into an authentic taste experience.
