About us
Living Center for Jazz in Brussels
Twenty years old and still standing: since day one, the Jazz Station has been a place of cultural resistance. Against uniformity, against invisible walls, against the idea that jazz is reserved for a privileged few.
Here, we believe in the power of music to shake up certainties, open up horizons and put the human back into our daily lives.
Here, jazz is not a museum: it is a weapon, a party, a cry from the heart. We defend diversity, experimentation, the freedom to be and to create. Our stage is open, and our values are solid.
Here, jazz is alive, free and rebellious. Here, each note opens a breach.
For 20 years, we have proven that art can be a tool of social struggle as much as a space for celebration. That inclusion was not a slogan, but a constant task. That the diversity of voices, genres, bodies and origins is the true richness of an artistic scene. Today more than ever, we say loud and clear: culture is not a luxury, it is a fundamental right. It is not sold to the highest bidder, it is shared, it is passed on, it is lived.
20 years is not a birthday.
It is a promise: to continue to open our doors, our hearts and our ears. To forge links where others put up barriers. To make visible what is too often invisible.
The Jazz Station is 20 years of live performance, 20 years of struggles, 20 years of love: together, let's make the future a playground.
