HULS Gallery Singapore, founded in September 2017, is a global creative company dedicated to introducing the fine Japanese crafts known as “Kogei” to the world. Guided by the concept of “Roots & Touch,” HULS seeks to enrich Singapore’s cosmopolitan culture by sharing the unique beauty of traditional Japanese craftsmanship. “Roots” reflects the deep connection of ceramics, lacquerware, textiles, wood, and bamboo crafts to their native regions in Japan, while “Touch” invites customers to handle each piece, experiencing its appearance and distinctive texture. HULS Gallery represents a new model of craft gallery, serving professionals in the culinary and design industries as well as the general public. Its sophisticated interior combines modern elegance with a strong sense of nature, creating a space that highlights both Singaporean and Japanese aesthetics and perfectly showcases these modern-yet-traditional works. Over the years, HULS has cultivated strong relationships with innovative Japanese craft manufacturers and artists, presented through the gallery and KOGEI STANDARD, a bilingual online platform for Japanese crafts.
