a family story le gourmet's is first and foremost the story of a family, putting meals on the same level as the most beautiful moments of the day. "it was born from the encounter between my father's career as a chef, and my love for this world. my father had been working since the late 80s in parisian franco-american brasseries, where he learned the basics of french cuisine, with anglo-saxon recipes. to this was added my love of good ingredients, french pastry, and the food world in general. i started by posting photos of my pastries on my social media (@emiles.cakes). then, to gain professional experience, i enrolled in a career transition program at the continuing education center of the institut paul bocuse. i had initially set out to pursue a master's degree in public law, but the culinary world quickly drew me back! what i want to offer my customers is gourmet, home-style cooking, complementing the beautiful products offered by our french artisans: des hommes et des boeufs, la fabrique givrée, patrick font, recolt, the brasseries la petite couronne, parisis or mont-blanc, la limonaderie de paris, les filles de l'ouest, maison andrésy and many others… a growing family we're experiencing this adventure with our day-to-day team, without whom it wouldn't be possible: store manager, head chef, managers, servers, cooks, kitchen assistants… i quickly realized that this family spirit resonated with our customers. it's our strength. this adventure continues with the opening of our second restaurant, in a modern brasserie format, while the first in asnières is a cozy restaurant-café. at gourmet's le café-restaurant and gourmet's la brasserie moderne, you will find our french cuisine with anglo-saxon influences. don't miss our chef's gourmet creations. and of course, our unmissable brunch with pancakes, gourmet burgers, and the legendary baked cheesecake, all made with recipes passed down for over 30 years.
