About us
The Land of a Thousand Islands
The Garuda opened in June 2000 and is the first and oldest Indonesian restaurant in Wales. The menu has been chosen with great care by the owner and chef, Suriyani Watcyn-Jones (Ani) to bring you the best of Indonesian cooking – from delicious meat, fish and rice dishes to dishes suitable for vegetarians and vegans. An evening at the Garuda is a chance to sample and enjoy the exotic cooking of Indonesia – the “land of a thousand islands”. We hope you will enjoy your experience at the Garuda!
