EDUCATIONAL CLOTHING
AKJP Studio is a dynamic creative hub for South African talent, hosting up to 40 artists alongside its own label, AKJP. The studio spans a wide array of disciplines, including fashion, artworks, publications, accessories, homeware, ceramics, and furniture. Committed to nurturing both emerging and established South African creatives, AKJP Studio has cultivated a strong local following over the past decade while attracting international visitors. Beyond retail and collaboration, the studio offers experiential elements such as window installations and event spaces, fostering community and embodying a distinctive lifestyle. Every 4–6 weeks, a new window installation showcases a collection or designer. Through mentorship and brand development programs, AKJP actively supports young creatives, contributing to South Africa’s vibrant creative landscape. Recently, AKJP Studio expanded with AKJP BAR, a café and bar celebrating local production. Featuring ceramic crockery by Keith Henning, bagels from New York Bagels, MCC by Krone, food by Babylonstoren, and coffee by Father Coffee, every component is locally sourced, reflecting the studio’s dedication to South African craftsmanship.
