Tucked away in charming Lisburne Square, Torquay, Old Vienna is a cosy 20-seat restaurant brought to life by Chef & Proprietor Werner Rott. After 14 wonderful years of welcoming back regulars and greeting new faces, Werner continues to craft a unique menu of artisan dishes inspired by seasonal, locally sourced produce—with that unmistakable Austrian touch. "It’s 2025… I honestly don’t know where the time went. After over 53 years in the kitchen, I’m starting to get the hang of this! Every week still brings something new—and that’s the joy of it. The only downside? At 60+, for every new thing I learn, I seem to forget two." _My father used to say: ‘Growing old is inevitable—growing up is optional.’ So here I am, doing what I love with a wonderful team. And as they say, "Do what you love, and you’ll never work a day in your life"
