since 1911, pescaderías coruñesas has paid tribute to the family legacy, based on the pursuit of excellence and deep respect for the sea, and to those generations of fishmongers who, through hard work and dedication, made madrid the capital of fresh fish and seafood in spain. desde 1911 would be inconceivable without the figures of maría juliana azpíroz and evaristo garcía, both from families with a long tradition in artisanal fishing, and their children, the fourth – and proud – generation of fishmongers and muleteers from the maragatería region. after more than a decade at the helm of the family business, the garcía azpíroz family has fulfilled their dream of opening desde 1911, thus honoring the passion that their father, evaristo garcía, always felt for restaurants.
