The family's life revolved around the kitchen. Nadir, the cook who worked with the family for years, was, along with her mother, Marise's great teacher. Chef Marise is an architect by training, but she has always studied and read extensively about gastronomy, techniques, recipes, and researched fine cuisine, as she had a passion for going to restaurants. One day she saw that a small shop, formerly a pharmacy near her home, was for rent and decided to open it, along with her sister Denise, who makes delicious cakes, to operate during the day. Everything was ready, however, when she put together the menu she realized that everything she had chosen were dishes more appropriate for dinner, and that's how D'Artagnan bistro was born, which takes inspiration from some of her favorite restaurants that she frequented during her travels. "It's an honor to reach 20 years in business in a challenging market like Belo Horizonte. We are very proud of our journey."
